Stop Smoking – Quitting Doesn’t Need to Be Hard
A lot of people who want to stop respiration don’t do it just in fear of the fact that it is likewise hard. Although, it is true that it is not easy, but in actuality it is not that hornlike either.
At this point, most of the smokers must be thinking that I am not a smoker and I don’t know what I am talking about.
Just to make it clear, I have been respiration for the time 10 years and have been finally be able to quit, six months ago. I do not have any cravings for cigarettes anymore and I am sure I module never go back to smoking.
So let’s go back to our topic. What my point was, quitting respiration is actually only as hornlike as a person thinks it to be. It is the same thing with everything. It is the same philosophy as, those who conceive they can and those who conceive they can’t are both right.
It module be as hornlike as you conceive it module be, because when you conceive it module be easy, you module increase your confidence and module realize it is much easier to overcome the cravings. But if you conceive it is hornlike to avoid the cravings then you are most likely to give in and move respiration again.
The mindset of quitting that you begin your quitting expedition with is perhaps the most important factor that determines whether or not you module be able to quit.
Have you heard of people who have not used the slightest assistance from any therapist or patch or gum or inhalers or lozenges, and are still able to quit without any problems. They are the ones who programmed it in their mind that it module be easy. It module be as easy as it was for the habit to develop when they started smoking.
And guess what?
It was easy for them. And it can be easy for you likewise if you have that type of mindset.
Don’t go likewise much in the details and don’t over conceive everything. Although you should civilize yourself, at the same time you should also be building a mindset that you can do this and that you have the aptitude to do it.
If you conceive it module be hard, then it is going to be hard. But if you conceive it module be easy, then quitting respiration module become rattling easy.
Natural Health – Spa Tips For Your Office
Clearing your office space and getting it organized is a good thing to do every once and a while. As you create your space and plan your schedule, you can incorporate tools and leave time for mini-spa experiences within your workdays. You can do many easy things in your office environment to give you powerful rejuvenating opportunities. Here are some tips for either your home office or your corporate office:
1)You can create a 5-minute “mini-steam” right at your desk. This can open your sinuses, your pores, and your mind and give you a much-needed highly rejuvenating break in your workday. Pour hot water in a cup. Put 2 – 3 drops of an essential oil such as eucalyptus, lavender, or peppermint in the cup. Put your face over the cup and take a large file folder capping over your head to create an enclosed environment. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Write on the outside of the file folder in black marker “Taking a 5 minute spa break - Do Not Disturb!”
2)Give yourself a 2-minute acupressure session with points on your face. Some people call this a non-surgical face-lift. This uses the Asian principles of opening up the channels of energy or “chi”. It can give you an instant uplift, alleviate a headache, clear mental fog, and bring a glow to your face. Using both hands with the pads of your first 2 fingers press firmly all over both sides of the face.
3)Take a 4-minute fantasy vacation. Close your eyes, put your feet up on your desk, take a deep breath and picture your favorite vacation spot. See yourself there feeling good and having a great time. The unconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between a real or imagined event. Your body will thank you!
4)Rap over a wrap. Have a spa cuisine lunch with a good friend. Sandwich wraps filled with veggies and protein are a good healthy lunch. Combine that with a “heart to heart” conversation for great stress reduction.
5)Give yourself self-administered foot reflexology sessions right at your desk. Keep a foot roller at your feet to roll your feet on (shoes off) during the day. This can stimulate reflex points on your feet that can relax and invigorate your entire body. Along with foot rollers you can also use a golf ball, racquetball, or tennis ball. Don’t forget to keep a pair of comfy slippers under your desk for times you just need to relax your feet.
6)Share a healing touch with an office mate. Exchange a nice shoulder rub with each other to relax those “computer tight” shoulder and neck muscles
7)Walk outside. Take a 10-minute nature break – and that doesn’t mean the rest room! A stroll outside in nature can do wonders for you.
Freshen your environment. Diffuse essential oils in your office or cubical area so that it smells good, cuts down on unwanted bacteria, viruses, fungus and mold, and delivers more oxygen to your work space.
9)Have a voluptuous jade plant on your desk near your computer. Not only does the shiny green color relax you, but the jade plant helps to absorb electromagnetic frequencies that come off of your computer screen.. In fact, many common houseplants detoxify the environment. Keep several types of plants nearby in your workspace. Peace lilies, spider plants, and English Ivy are all good plants to use.
10)Fish are fun and relaxing to look at. A pretty and low maintenance fish to have on your desk is the Betta fish. It doesn’t need a filtered aquarium to live in and lives on just a few pellets of food a day.
11)Keep healthy snacks in your desk drawer to keep your blood sugar levels stable, especially during stressful days and days you skip meals. Mixed nuts, trail mix or healthy protein bars are good to have on hand. Ningxia Red juice packets for on the go are a great healthy energy boost.
12)Music soothes the soul and our souls often need soothing especially when we are stressed at work with issues and deadlines. Have your iPod or MP3 player with some of your favorite relaxing tunes on it playing lightly in the background.
Natural Health Tips For “Intention Deficit Disorder”
Are you someone who starts doing something and then goes on to another thing, then another, without completing anything you’ve
started? (kinda like “disorganized multi-tasking”) When we find ourselves jumping from one thing to another without completing anything, a little voice comes in and says “oh my! I must have adult Attention Deficit Disorder (A.D.D.)!” We don’t give credit to the fact that there is plenty of reason why we feel scattered, because there is:
sooo much to do
sooo many responsibilities
sooo little time in which to do things
The overwhelm can sendya spinnin’!
Consider this.
It might not be that you are lacking in your attention to matters, it might just be that you are lacking in intention.
When we feel overwhelmed with responsibility and a long “to-do” list, it’s easy to just want to get through the day and nothing more.
Not having meaning or intention connected to daily tasks can set the stage for scattered and unfocused activity.
Making a conscious intention for everything we do is a great way to counteract what we think might be A.D.D.
For example, fixing a meal for yourself and family. An intention would be “to nourish and feed the body”.
But it’s not always easy having enough focused awareness to make an intention for each activity.
Here are some steps to create focused awareness in your life:
ground the physical body to the earth – a simple bouncing up and down on the heels can do that
create conscious reminders next to each item on your “to-do” list with the intention and purpose behind each task
make each thought a prayer, an active intention (not a beseeching prayer) until it becomes a habit
There are actually a few (YL) essential oils that can help with this too:
Valor
Grounding
Clarity
Frankincense
Want a powerful experience to help you overcome I.D.D.?
Use one or more of these essential oils daily, applying them in the morning as you state your conscious intent and prayer for the day.
Natural Health – Heart Healthy Home Spa Tips
I spoke at a lecture along with two cardiologists on Heart Health for Women. I didn’t wear a red dress but I had my red dress pin
on! (ordered directly from the box tops of Celestial Seasonings tea!). I was grateful to not only be presenting some of my Heart Healthy Home Spa Tips, but to listen to two female cardiologists present current approaches to cardiac care.
It brought back memories of my Intensive Care nursing days. I used to be an assistant head nurse of a fourteen bed Intensive Care unit. Heart attack patients filled a high percentage of our unit. If they weren’t in the unit for postoperative heart surgery, they were there because of a heart attack or a serious disturbance in their heart rhythm. It’s easy to underestimate heart disease and heart damage in people because the person usually doesn’t look any different on the outside. And more often than not people who have heart disease may not even feel any different for a long time preceding an event.
One of the popular questions to these cardiologists was “how do I know I have heart disease if I don’t have any symptoms?”. The physicians answered the key factors such as genetics, blood studies, and medical history. Stress is also a contributory factor in heart disease. And, although we didn’t discuss this at the presentation last week, I believe ‘issue s of the heart’ play a vital role. It’s not unusual that when someone has a heart-breaking situation it can affect their heart. Energetically, that makes a lot of sense.
Here are three simple, easy, and heart healthy tips pleasures that you can do at home! (Isn’t it nice to think of something pleasurable to keep us healthy instead of a restrictive?)
–Soak Your Feet In Epsom Salts…
-add one cup of Epsom Salt to a tub of warm water
-carefully sit on the side of your tub and soak your feet for 12 minutes
Epsom salts are made up of mostly magnesium. Magnesium is an important mineral that most people are deficient in because of our depleted soil. Magnesium is reported to improve heart and circulatory health, reduce irregular heartbeats, preventing hardening of the arteries, reducing blood clots and lower blood pressure. Epsom salt soaks can also help ease stress and improve sleep and concentration.
